Because a dishwasher isn't ready to take artificial junk as we humans like.
that's why dishwashers live their whole lives healthy and only get old the last few months of their lives.Why is lemon juice mostly artificial ingredients BUT dish-washing liquid contains real lemons?

for washing purposes, the pure citric acid is harmless!!!
