When was guns and gunpowder invented and who invented them?

Instructions on how to make guns and gunpowder, the way their used, their history, etc. When was guns and gunpowder invented and who invented them?
First important to know is that gunpowder or rather blackpowder was discovered long before a gun was.

the Chinese unlocked the mystery to black powder using chemichals such as

* a nitrate鈥攖ypically saltpetre (KNO3)鈥攚hich supplies the reaction with oxygen

* charcoal, which provides fuel for the reaction in the form of carbon (C)

* sulfur (S), which is also a fuel, lowers the temperature of ignition and helps increase the speed of combustion

This was discovered in the 9th Century by Chinese Alchemist as I said.

Now the gun was discovered by Westerners. The powder made its way across to Europe over the Silkroad. The earliest depiction of a gunpowder weapon is the illustration of a fire-lance on a mid-10th century silk banner from Dunhuang.

So at least a century or more apart that the two were.

The Chinese used them for fireworks and their are rumors that it was used as a weapon, but that is still in debate with scholars. IMO I would say they did use it as a weapon just not a gun. Probably more a canon as some scholars think.

I hope that helps some. When was guns and gunpowder invented and who invented them?
Gunpowder is made up of sulfur, charcoal, and saltpetre (potassium nitrate). 15% sulfur, 10% charcoal, 75% saltpeter. It was first used by the Chinese.

Don't you have history books that have this information?
Chines frist invented the gun powder from sulfur. They originally used it for fireworks and for prototype bombs, but on one point in history probably around 11 th century, they started to shoot it. The first fire arms were introduced to Japan by the Portugese around 16th century. That dramatically changed the way Japanese looked at the warfare. The first japanese fire arms were these muskets made from paper that could be used only once after which the barrel would explode.
China invented gunpowder around the 9th century.

China invented guns and cannons (1250 AD).

The Turkish then made even bigger guns.

Europeans imitated and asimilated these inventions.

The gun was not invented in Europe.
